Made from 100% viscose, this rug adds a luxurious feel to your living spaces with its elegant, glossy texture. The fringed edge finish creates a classic and sophisticated look, while the 5.5 mm pile height provides a soft and comfortable surface. With 2,000,000 loops, this densely woven rug reflects fine pattern details clearly; its weight of 3100 g/m² ensures durable and luxurious use. This variant is a shimmering living room rug featuring a rich, multilayered palace medallion pattern set against a red background.
What Is Viscose?
Viscose is a natural-origin fiber obtained from the cellulose of trees and plants. It is also known as a "regenerated cellulose fiber" because natural cellulose is processed and converted back into fiber during production. It stands out with its silk-like softness, natural sheen, and silky surface that reflects light. Unlike fully synthetic fibers such as acrylic or polypropylene, viscose reflects light from multiple angles, creating a vivid sheen that changes with movement, and it becomes softer with use. In the Topkapı Series, 100% viscose combines with a densely woven 2,000,000-loop construction to create a fine, glossy, and highly detailed surface; the sheen of the viscose makes the fine details and color transitions of the classic patterns especially prominent in well-lit environments. In this respect, the Topkapı Series is a special shimmering collection designed for living rooms and sitting rooms, combining the silky sheen of viscose fiber with classic rug patterns.

How Is a Viscose Rug Cleaned?
Topkapı Series 100% viscose living room rugs should only be cleaned by professional rug cleaning companies; washing in a home washing machine, using detergent, or scrubbing with a wet brush may permanently damage the fibers. Since viscose is a natural-origin (regenerated) cellulose fiber, it is sensitive to water and excessive moisture. Please avoid the following: machine washing, washing at home with detergent, scrubbing with a wet brush, and steam cleaning. For daily care, using a low-suction vacuum cleaner and gently dabbing any stains with a slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Protecting the rug from prolonged direct sunlight will help preserve its silky sheen, fine pattern, and vibrant colors for a long time.

Protect Elegance
A delicate care routine should be adopted to preserve the original splendor and silky texture of Carpetdocia's handwoven and natural-fiber pieces, which add value to your living space, for generations to come.
Immediate Action and Contact with Liquids
When liquid is spilled, timing is the most critical factor. Using a clean, slightly damp cloth, remove the liquid from the surface by gently blotting only, never rubbing. Always work in the direction of the rug's pile (the natural direction in which the fibers lie). Rubbing can damage the shape of delicate fibers such as TENCEL™ and viscose. If you are unsure, stop immediately.
Routine Care and Light Balance
For your weekly cleaning routine, always use vacuum cleaners with low suction power. High-powered upright vacuum cleaners and stiff brushes can damage the natural structure of handwoven yarns. To balance the reaction of natural yarns to light and prevent localized tonal differences (fading), we recommend changing the direction of your rug every 2 to 6 months.
The Expert Touch (Professional Cleaning)
Noble textures such as handwoven fibers, TENCEL™, viscose, and New Zealand wool should not come into contact with household chemical cleaners. Such products can irreversibly damage the rug's silky sheen and structural integrity. For deep cleaning, seek assistance only from professional rug care centers specializing in natural fibers.
